When my beloved husband of 37 years died in 1997, I felt that my life had also ended. I was in a dark fog for several months until I found For the Love of Christi.

At my first meeting I was unable to say a word, not even my own name. I soon came to understand words were not needed. The group instinctively knew my feelings for they were or had been in my same position. Love, understanding and acceptance filled the air.

I began to eagerly look forward to meetings, for there my soul found relief. I was able to take baby steps to rebuilding my life. I will always be grateful to Susan and Don and all the members of my group for enabling me to face the future without my husband.

Now, 13 years later, my life is not what I planned or thought it would be, but I am very happy and have a joy filled life. For the Love of Christi helped me emerge from gloom and despair and join the land of the living again.
